Learn By Doing
Knowledge can be derived from all spheres of life. The one thing that teaches us the most are our life’s experiences. We at SV High want to provide these experiences through our wide range of activities as part of experiential learning.
Beyond the Books
Learning outside the classroom is a tool for teaching and learning which has been proven to raise attainment and achievement, improve behaviour and improve the engagement of all groups of pupils, including those who are hard to engage inside the classroom environment.
READING & WRITING
Our syllabuses develop the ability to communicate clearly, accurately and effectively in both speech and writing, for study and employment.
An essential subject for all learners, syllabuses encourage the development of mathematical knowledge as a key life skill, and as a basis for more advanced study.
Students learn how science is studied and practiced, and become aware that the results of scientific research can have both good and bad effects on individuals, communities and the environment.
The study of history and social sciences subjects enables learners to gain a deeper insight into the different communities and cultures that exist and used to exist around the world.
Extra Curricular Programs
An essential part of school life and helps in enhancing learning process of students at school to bring social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality progress and character appeal in students
We believe that young people should have access to frequent, continuous and progressive experiences in the school grounds, educational visits further afield and residentials, and that these experiences should be utilised as a tool for teaching, learning and delivering the curriculum across all subject areas.
It is a common belief that sport teaches us all about life. The highs and lows experienced while playing a sport prepare a child for what’s to come in the future. We offer a combination of both individual and team sports that children can take part in and enjoy themselves while learning.
Working as part of a group and working towards a common goal with like-minded individuals is what clubs are meant for. The child can choose any club that interests them and work with peers in fun learning activities that showcase their skills in their particular field.
